RV MODS

We are prepping our FW for extended travel and decided to convert the coat closet into a pantry. I suggested just stacking cans and boxed goods in the closet but my wife would not agree. So off I go to my favorite Home Depot. Purchased a 6ft x 12" wire shelf. Since I've used wire shelving in our S/B I already had a bolt cutter (sometimes called a lock cutter). While I hear of people cutting these things with a hack saw, I prefer using a bolt cutter since that is quicker and less strenuous.
Here is the empty coat closet.
Three shelves each 13" wide.
Yep, looks like a pantry now. Dog food and treats go on bottom shelf.

All I have to do now is figure out a way to keep everything on the shelves while we are traveling down the road. I'll let you know about that later.

  1. Great job on the Re-vamp! It's amazing what a little ingenuity and a trip to Home Depot can accomplish!

  2. That's a great renovation. Camping World sells "refrigerator bars". They are like mini spring loaded curtain rods that can fit in front of shelves to keep things in place. Here's a link (I've never used them, just remembered seeing them).
